Humble Reigns

Freedom reigns, which is the err

For always to authority he'll dare

Justice reigns, which is to blame

For the cold and sterile culture frame

Mercy reigns, which cannot be

For she is blinded to evil's deeds

And Fear and Rage and Jealousy

They reign the hearts of all you see

Reason cannot reign, dear friend

And Common Sense has its own end

And while we say what reigns is Truth

We only want the hardest proof

And while we claim that Beauty reigns

We blind our eyes with bloody stains

And while we say Love rules us all

We laugh and mob for all to fall

We cannot rule ourselves, I doubt

Sans humility which reigns without

Dark Knight

Once again my eyes have set
Upon the foe, so dark and fowl
I draw my sword to pay back the debt
Open my throat, and unleash a growl

"Knave!" I scream, "Why have you come?"
His silence, unnerving, is my reply
The metal's ding, the battle's hum
Are apt responders to my cry

The fight goes on and on and on
A day? A week? Who knows how long
My strength is sapped, my will is gone
And still the dark knight is standing strong

His greasy laugh falls down on me
"You cannot see, that I am thee!"

Hey Diddily Dey, answer this I pray
The boy has fallen in the well
The dog then hears his dinner bell
'Til I am old and gray (but not since yesterday)
Which one does the dog then sell?

Hey Diddy Dee, I question this in three
Does the dog know of the well?
Can he eat the dinner bell?
Tis as night and day, the dog should want to play
How long should the dog then dwell?

Hey Diddily Dey, I will clear your way
The dog saw how the well boy fell
He cannot eat the dinner bell
Twas rolling in the hay, and in the month of May
An hour 'til the boy's legs swell

Hey Diddy Dee, I now answer thee
The dog will race fast from the well
And ignore the dinner bell
Twill be all glad and gay, for the dog will bay
And the humans hurry to the well

But boisterously baffling, unbelievable bells

Ring at a resting tomb

Lyrically lighting, lifting, not lying

The cross became our womb

Full of grudges and with selfishness rife

Forgive all we see
Our souls will dance with cymbal and fife

With the cross, our Father marks family
With such hope, we march on verily
Faith through pain
We have no gain
For we give out love and joy so merrily
