Oh, when the lagging washes over and the energy flies free

Of the insubstantial prison door, that is known as me

An infusion of delight to fill me full of glee

I would like a cup of coffee

The bitterness of fruit combined with the darkness of tea

A sigh escapes me resigned if I cannot have a taste of thee

A boost of youthful immortality

A simple cup of coffee

When life is weary and droll and work is piled infinitely

Soothing liquid swallowed whole, the gods' nectar delightfully

Black as my soul, and hot as a hellfire sea

A miraculous cup of coffee

My heart is seeking out love, that of myth forthwith
Of flames climbing higher so my eyes be well lit
Yes, living and loving that is my pith
And Beauty, my soul soars with your song, sings along
And Truth, the fighter within my mind, I find
A blazing of glory that shines as the day’s long
And journey companions of spiritually like kind
Must I endure drudgery of fools? of tools?
Who noisily are stuck then break all rules?
