Madness

Whirlybird petals turn
As fast as my thoughts churn
As circular as my thoughts go
I cannot stop even though
I know, I think far too much
My intelligence becomes a crutch
And when used such a rush
Yet as flitting as a thrush
And I dread when I slow down
All the madness in my crown
Becomes a silence no mortal mind
Even amongst the dead could find
But once I found a sacred peace
Whilst my thinking didn't cease
My soul was calmed, so very still
My heart with contentedness did fill
Now I seek throughout my life
To weather pain and every strife
For I believe such peace could only come
From my Lord's heavenly home

God bless,
