Cold

A chain that liberates
A bond that bursts the gates
Freely entwining fates
When love comes out to play

And when that fire is dim
Flaring only at a whim
Left to sink and swim
Left in frozen straits

The frigid ocean churns
With a love so cold it burns
A Vulcanic heart that yearns
On a volcanic rim

A calculated fray
Into helplessness I stray
E'en night has turned to day
When my stone heart learns
