Fear

Terror of what could be light
Opens the eyes of fright
That may reveal what's in the night
So we close our eyes
And sleep, and weep for noise
Distractions in the form of toys
Or interactions with girls and boys
We hold to lies
And yet that quiet voice calls
Through even the noisiest walls
"Come home! Turn back!", it falls
On the ears of the wise
