What does color do?
Even mute it shows beauty
Lights reality's soul

Mountains have that calm face
That divine and sacred space
Untouched by the human race
Even those who were there

Mountains have that high peak
To which angels might speak
With voices not for the weak
Reality laid bare

The mountain in my soul
Must be climbed higher, higher
On that tor I'll stand whole
My sacrifice in fire

Twilight

Shadows are long when the bright light is low
Distorting the paths we see and we know
Shadows of darkness that stem from the light
Giving a fright

Streetlights illumine the trails of the Fae
Giving illusions of showing the way
Twisting the darkness into the light
Dimming the sight

And yet, the trees whisper
The calm wind blows free
Reality seems crisper
At the count of three

Moonlight and starlight beckons my soul
Wonder and magic making me whole
Life everlasting pouring His blood
Into figures of mud

In potatoes and in steak

I do not need happiness
Sadness or desire
