Kindness

What is it but kindness that is given
When what is given is hope and law
When by the law, for hope we've striven
And full of love, we gaze in awe

Sleepy Haiku

Sleep of the dead
Lie the squirrels, fat rodents
Truly undisturbed

Cold

Thoughts gently fall

As energy leaves my body

Through snowflakes

Uncleared Debt

I have to ask and wonder
About my latest blunder
My soul's been rent asunder
Amidst the most just thunder
As it rightly should
For my life has not been good
Doing all the sins I could
Wearing darkness like a hood
But this! It takes the cake
Though He died for my sake
With mercy deeper than a lake
My heart denied it as a fake
Thus unable to accept
I could not clear my debt

God bless,

The Taps of Iron

The taps of iron onto stone
In regular rhythm, then faster beat
Louder and closer they do come
The riders on their beasts

'I bear a message' is declared
By the lead knight, in armor gleaming
'Freedom for all who repent!
The Son of God, goes on redeeming!'

God bless,
