My heart denied it as a fake
Thus unable to accept
I could not clear my debt

A Pot

A pot of smoking onions
With some water on the top
Poured through meshed carrots
The finest of the crop
Garrot skinned potatoes
Squeeze peppers til they're blue
De-ear the listening corn
Before they have a clue
Add in a sprig of garlic
Well actually add in ten
This cubic inch veggie stew
Must fill ten dozen men

A plodding distant lout
I'm e'er the same

It's this sameness that I hate
Am I cursed with such a fate
To never grow, to learn too late
Of my shame

But in stillness of the plod
I hear the whisper of my God
And revealed is the enemies fraud
As very lame

And joy does rise as I walk
Diligently hear the angels talk
And sing, Glory! as I gawk
