Easy Lies

How easy for lies to cloud my head
A foolish lamb playing in the devil's time
Off a cliff that no mortal could e'er climb
My soul so wounded, despairing as if dead
A star should shine with such divine dread
Revealing the scars my sins upon me have beat
Mere cobwebs acting stronger than concrete
Your light's force lifts my eyes, instead to thee
Where wise men have gone, with gifts, to see
A simple haven, a place to break the bread

God bless,

Pursuit of Love

For those in pursuit of Love
Distance is expected
From climbing the mountain above
To having a star detected
And crossing a thousand miles
Spending years away from home
For the love of an infant’s smiles
For eternity, wise men will roam
Their zeal shall not grow cold
Their diligence of legend
Frankincense and myrrh and gold,
Gifts of the heart they rend
The wise forever brave the wild
In pursuit of Love, of the Christ Child

God bless,
