On the day of endless rain
I huddled in the ark
My feathers shivered in the cold
But trust in you had a hold
E'en with death so stark
On the day of endless rain
After the world had drowned away
And the waters stilled
In prayer and patience I endured
As a noble peaceful bird
E'en then my song I trilled
After the world had drowned away
Servant Noah sent me out
Without rest I flew
Over water and over waves
And found a lonesome tree that saves
E'en with a twig I knew
That we live, without a doubt
God bless,
