All bones with all tendons
All muscles with tensions
Work together to move
Work together to live
To grow and to groove
To gasp and to give
All women and men
From one two to ten
Breathe the same air
Walk the same earth
With a rhythmic flair
With a divine mirth
All sinners and saints
All souls without feints
Will enter in fire
Will enter the home
That burns away desire
The desire to roam
God bless,

Jacket
Just a guy in jacket
Not making a racket
Walking about
With nary a doubt
No goal in mind
Just to unwind
List'ning to birds
Avoiding dog turds
Not climbing some rock
But taking a walk
Through thicket and thacket
Just a guy in a jacket
God bless,

Purple-Green Foggy Brine
Trace amounts of gypsum
Lying on a plate
Malady of mission
Beginning to collate
Until a blown out piston
Begins its sordid state
And no-one knows just when
The train is sleeping late
(But perhaps I'm wishing, never not to wait)
God bless,

Narrow Road
On the narrow road I pass
Through many pains and dangers
Sometimes a long arduous task
Sometimes a needy stranger
My knees are full of scars
To mark my many stumbles
To show I have survived wars
Withstood my vice's crumbles
On the narrow road I go
For at the end I'll see
Beauty that'll ne'er cease to grow
And Love stretched to infinity
God bless,

Penance and Patience
Penance and patience carry sorrow with joy
A steady beat moving without any ploy
Slow as the turtle step after step
Penance and patience working off debt
The world's heartbeat calms when seen through the eyes
Of one who on penance and patience relies
The frenetic noisemaking of desperate men
Moves to the background when practicing them
Penance and patience carry sorrow with joy
When they are leading to One without any ploy
Slow as a turtle quick as a breath
Steadily guiding to Him who killed death
God bless,

Sun
Warmth that gathers around and breathes
Suffocating yet needed still
Throughout the day the comfort wreathes
About me as it will
Deserving not of that patient gaze
The heart fills up with guilt
But the fierceness of such gentle rays
Cleanse me to the hilt
God bless,

Shepherd
Who would stand before the hungry wolves
Who would watch us every day
Who would guide us eating, sleeping
Who would shepherd us I pray?
Who looks at us with loving glances
Who cares how we rest and drink
Who comforts us when we are broken
Who shepherds us, what does he think?
He whose living water overflows
Whose very body is our meal
Whose suffering helps us grow
Tis Jesus Christ who keeps us real.
God bless,

Let Them Eat Steak!
Butter the carrots
Platter the peas
Consume the merits
Of herbal teas
Steal seeds from parrots
(On the seven seas)
But if you say please
A slice from a sow
A hunk from a cow
Rabbits and ferrets
And a wheel of cheese
Shall be yours now
God bless,
>P<

Riddle Bug
Write me
Read me,
Sight me
Heed me,
In your soul I lay
Whilst you play me
What am I?
Bugged for the answer?

A Small Complaint
Whisperer in the grass
Tell me snow has passed
Chortler in the sky
Tell me that thermometers've lied
About the sidewalks glazed in white
On this April night
I remember when spring was bright
And winter quickly died
God bless,

Dishonor
Luminous scowls and shining sneers
Allow rejoicing for being mocked
Jesus rose and ate fish by the piers
Despite your condemnation and jeers
Despite having died, with us he talked

Strata
Strata of ore, strata of and
Conjunctions joining in a band
Either hits and record sales
Or breaking up in saddened tales
Strata of ore, silver and gold
A line in the earth of wealth so cold
Dug up in a man-made plot
Digging to where the earth is hot
Strata of ore, fossils, and gems
What dreams are of with certified REMs
Rainbow whiskey and deadly elves
Threaten to dispose ourselves
Strata of soul, of ore unseen
Playing with the lines between
God bless,

Scarecrow
Planted next to berry groves
Is the little scarecrow
Watching o'er the fruity troves
Keeping guard o'er every row
From the pirate fowl
Dressed in ragged overalls
Straw hat and leaky boots
Fending sun and stormy squalls
Whilst watching treasured fruits
But no winter shawl
When the harvest comes
And children pick the berries
Leaving no stones or crumbs
To guard. No berry tarries
When tiny stomachs growl
Nothing more to guard this year
So to sleep the scarecrow
And perhaps very near
Watching again he'll go
Ne'er to throw in his towel
God bless,
>P<

Matches
Match the top as it spins
Like the world that is within
An unjust merciless world of sin
With ever growing din
Match the cross, that paradox
Lets suffering throw us on the rocks
Breaking our chains and locks
To set Virtue's building blocks
Yet He rose beyond my match
In mercy lifts my limiting latch
Cures the wounds from each sinful batch
Love from Him, I catch
God bless,
