Christmas Eve

In fiery gong and shaking thunder
The world shows its place by such blunder
In careful deceit and clever lies
The devil leads to inevitable demise
Still in such dark and murky days
The Child’s simple light inspires praise

Christmas Eve

Slowly being eaten by darkness of heart
Slowly driven to death
To us, in their song, the angels impart
Peace with the dawn's breath

Christmas Eve

Even in the darkest hearts
If allowed in, Christ imparts
Hope in form as humble as
A feeding bowl for ox and ass

God bless,

Waiting for Nothing

A man who did nothing wandered around
A man who was waiting gave him a call
But nothing does nothing, he responds not at all
Waiting is still waiting for the lost to be found
For nothing to repent he must first become something
Waiting is something that even angels can sing
Awaiting the Lord is a beautiful sound

Sweet Mary's Heart

A piercing cry from a newborn
As he tastes the brisk air
The only sound that silent morn
The Son of Man lay bare

The cries stop as quick as they start
As Jesus hears sweet Mary’s heart

Poor and rich, ox and ass
The angels sing and adore
Swaddled babe hold us fast
So we may be a little more

Christmas Eve

Corporeal apathy, twisting
Snuffing out the cold blue light
Snuffing out the sun
Cannot tell day from night

Closed eyes, refusing blindness
Can only see death and pain
Not admitting in the light
Death planned to end the pain

The angelic healer, with a spark
Opened the closed eyes
Death and blindness refused
Grasping through the pain and lies

Beautiful Mother, found unseen
Friends, reliance, trust, am blind
Pain fed to the Tree of Life
Peace and joy through darkness wind

Teaching Common Sense, a book
The blind, hands open receives
The red pill swallowed, can see trees
Walking with magical red leaves

Bread house
The blind man brought to a child
The child smiles

God bless,

Christmas Eve

The warmth of home in wintertime
Embraces souls with the sublime
Perhaps perchance that candle light
Would guide the lost on holy night

Perhaps perchance we would subsume
Into ourselves a holy room
Where we may dance and sing with joy
The Blessed Virgin and her baby boy

For this hope He came across
A divide deeper than love's first loss
God to man so that with His first cry
Man to God the dream is alive

Of this we dream with joyful heart
God's great plan, that we may take part
And give ourselves, full of joy and pain
To the Christ Child in the manger lain
