In the Darkness of the World
In the darkness of the world
There was a holy spark
Above the flood of sin and error
Came a grace-filled ark
The humble dust that swept the tide
That unknotted lives so curled
The uplifter of the hopes of men
The 'yes' that saved the world
The bond with man that God did make
Was one that made us brother
For no other bond as pure and intimate
As the Son has with our Mother

Immaculate Conception
O Mary, conceived without sin
Teach us to be pure within
Guide us to be in your Son's trust
Dearest Mother, pray for us
All praise, glory, joy and laud
You gave, Maria, to our God
And enmity to Satan expressed
By praying God be ever blessed
O honored Mother of the Son
Who answered Lord thy will be done
Perfectly saved by His death
From conception to final breath
The Spirit rested on your womb
The Spirit took you to His tomb
And as angels sing Hail, Holy Queen

Faithful Daughter who magnifies God
To thee we give honor
For thee the moon is set
For you to stand on
Sinless Virgin whom God saved
To thee we inquire
For thee the sun hides
Behind your back
Holy Maiden who taught God
To thee we come
For thee the stars themselves
Will clothe you
Beautiful Mother who has sorrowed
To thee we cry
For thee the snake is crushed
Never to rise again
Pray for us, sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
