Night light, guide through fright
Leading flame, to the name above names
Beacon rests, nests over child caressed
To fight the world, came three kings confessed

Stable and stern with foundation firm, out of sight
Aligned with the silver and magical moonlight
Undoubtedly down comes the unbroken beam of lunacy
Flittered then focused through glass windows we can see
The glint on the edge of the sward a cross marks the spot
Where diligent digging will reap rewards from an Irish elven pot

Rise up! The light has come!
Every land adore the sun!
Rise up and give the cry
That announces the holy one!

Rise up! The light does shine!
Leave the pall of dark behind!
Rise up and give your gold
The fruitfulness of your design!

Rise up! The light does rise!
Every soul is lifted high
Rise up and give frankincense
Your prayers an inspired sigh!

Rise up! The light is warm!
The frozen hearts shall be made fresh!
Rise up and give out myrrh
And wed your hearts to Word made flesh!

Rise up! The light has come!
Every land and knee shall bend!
Rise up and give the cry
Your voices to the angels lend!
