Life wanders though the body’s worn
Though the mind’s peace has been shorn
Veronica sees the suffering pace
And gives her care to wipe His face
Life falters once again that morn
Upon a body bruised and torn
And once again bears the weight
And walks the path narrow, straight
Life wanders where the women mourn
And asks not to weep for Him forlorn
But weep for themselves, for their kin
Who have long been subject to sin
Life falters a final time that morn
A final rising to the cross is borne
And finally comes to calvary
Life wanders to patiently
God bless,
