Christmas Poem

Cold winter’s night for child of the light
Bundled and swaddled, asleep
A hopeful sight for man’s fearful plight
From the union with God, and we weep

In holy blue, with soft, gentle coo
The virgin carries her son
Who will carry for you, the burden we rue
And rise after it is done

He silently prays and in silent ways
A faithful man cares for those two
He either stays or leads them for days
As the angel tells him to do

God bless,
