Listen

Stars that peak at sleeping land
Restless earth with owl band
And watch nightlife wake and stand
May not understand
But they listen

Hummingbirds that feed and fly
Hover still, with bees buzzing by
Slow weaving stream with a dragonfly
I sit and sigh
As I listen

Angels guard their children's light
And guide them through the darkest night
Lift them up, taking flight
To prayers and plight?
They always listen
