I, Fool

Tendrils of despair and desperation
Constantly hunt and haunt my soul
And I, foolish, ever wander away
From the lamb who keeps me whole
And I, foolish, ever wonder why
About the cost of evading the toll

Vines of hope and unity slowly
Grow to form a temple in my heart
Amongst this forest I wander interminably
Until the angels whisper to me my part
And I, foolish, hear wisdom without ken
Yet am graced to listen as she imparts

A fool can still enter heaven in reverent silence

God bless,
